19 Austin Police Officers Indicted On Multiple Charges Following George Floyd Protest

19 Austin police officers have been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following their actions at a 2020 protest after the killing of George Floyd.

On Thursday, a Travis County grand jury on Thursday indicted the 19 officers accused of excessive force. Austin police also agreed to a $10 million settlement with two men shot by police with beanbag rounds.

The names of the officers being indicted are not yet public record. No further information has been released at this time.
