18-Year-Old Killer Caught After Taking Selfie With Murder Weapon

2.8kviews

Hader Garcia, an 18-year-old from Chicago, Illinois, has been apprehended after taking a selfie with a gun that he supposedly killed another man with in December.

Authorities say that Garcia uploaded pictures of himself with a black 9 mm handgun to social media. The weapon was observed as olive green-colored, containing an extended magazine with a sticker from the brand Supreme on it.

After the gun was recovered, it showed a match to shell casings discovered at a location of a fatal drive-by shooting that killed 35-year-old Richard Robinette.

Reports indicate that Robinette was stationed at a red light when Garcia pulled up in the lane close to him. When he tried to drive off, Garcia is accused of shooting at Robinette’s vehicle six times. Robinette was hit several times, and his car was forced into parked cars. He later died at a hospital.

Observers told authorities some information that helped police figure out that Garcia wasn’t driving his own car. His actions before the shooting were caught on camera, too.

Garcia is facing one felony count of first-degree murder and will be in jail with no bail.

Last month, Garcia was apprehended for being in possession of a stolen car. The 18-year-old had taken it in a carjacking, and three loaded guns were found inside. This includes the gun that Garcia took a selfie with.

  1. Having lived in Chicago from 2002 to 2021, I am so not surprised at the stupidity of that person.

I did originally think this would be a Florida man story though.
