17 Year Old Girl Fatally Shot While Walking Her Dog

Philadelphia police are investigating after a 17 year old girl was shot and killed while walking her dog.

The shooting happened a little before 9 p.m. on the 5300 block of Horrocks Street. When authorities arrived they found a teen suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and abdomen.

She was transported to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries.

According to reports the teen was walking with another person when a gray Dodge Challenger, with an unknown amount of occupants, drove by an opened fire.

The victim was later identified as Teryn Johnson.

At this time authorities have not made any arrest and this investigation remains ongoing.
