A 17-year-old girl, Estefana De La Rosa, along with two men, faces charges of criminal conspiracy to commit murder after staging a fake kidnapping to lure their intended victims.
On January 29, De La Rosa pretended to be kidnapped in an attempt to ambush the victims, who instead called 911. Police discovered the plot when they responded to the reported kidnapping.
De La Rosa, upset over a social media post, was arrested on February 20 and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
The two men, Christian Hernandez-Carrizales (31) and Jesus Huitron (23), were arrested on February 20 and February 24, respectively. The relationship between the suspects and the intended victims remains unclear.
