
The Frisco Police Department is currently investigating a tragic stabbing incident that unfolded during a track meet at the Frisco ISD Memorial Stadium on April 2, 2025. At approximately 10:00 a.m., officers were called to the scene in the 6900 block of Stadium Lane following reports of an altercation between two students.
In a shocking turn of events, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, a student from Frisco Centennial High School, allegedly stabbed 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, who was a student at Frisco Memorial High School. Despite immediate medical intervention—which included CPR and blood transfusions—the efforts to save Metcalf were unsuccessful, and he succumbed to his injuries.
Karmelo Anthony has since been taken into custody and charged with murder. Currently, no bond has been established for him as investigations continue.
The Frisco Police Department has mobilized resources from its School Resource Division, Patrol Division, and Criminal Investigations Division to thoroughly investigate the incident.
