17 Pound Cancerous Tumor Removed From 29 Year Old Dallas Woman

Amanda Shoultz, a 29 year-old from Dallas, gained an enormous amount of weight and just figured it was a part of getting older.

Therefore, she began to exercise more and eat healthy to lose the weight.

Although she went to her doctor, who said she was healthy, she still felt that something wasn’t right. After seeing a gastroenterologoist in September, liposarcoma, a cancer, was discovered in her fat tissue.

Because the tumor could grow and possibly affect other organs, doctors performed surgery immediately.

“I was in so much shock that I wasn’t processing anything. It was very eye-opening,” Shoultz stated.

It turns out, physicians removed a surprisingly 17 pound tumor from her stomach.

Before the operation, she weighed 125 pounds, but she is now down to 108 pounds.

She encourages others to see a doctor if they feel that something is wrong with their health. It could save your life, she says.
