A 16-year-old from Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been given over 59 years in prison for his part in a drive-by shooting.

In Dec. 2022, Noah Ney was initially charged for multiple counts if possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, and possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with battery with a deadly weapon, use of a vehicle in discharge of a weapon, and a gang-related crime.

Reports indicate that Ney was charged after he shot a five-year-old with a pistol during the drive-by. The girl had been playing outside in April 2022 when Ney shot the weapon, striking her in the neck while in a stolen vehicle.

After he was apprehended waiting to receive his punishment, Ney escaped juvenile detention with another detainee, Ja’Koby Golston, in August.

On August 17, New was taken into custody again after being on the run for four days.

He has been charged but hasn’t been punished for his escape.
