Woman Killed And Man Seriously Injured After Pickup Truck Collides Into Their Minivan

A woman was killed and a man seriously injured after a truck collided into their minivan as they tried to get inside on a residential street early Saturday morning in Dallas.
Officers responded to a crash on the 3500 block of Canada Dr and when they arrived they found that a pickup truck with three individuals inside had crashed into a minivan and struck a 57 year old man while he was helping a 60 year old woman with a walker into the vehicle.
After crashing into the van the car hit another parked car and the men fled the scene on foot.
The victims were transported to a nearby hospital where the woman died and the man is in serious condition.
Another female was inside the van during the time of the crash and is expected to survive.
The driver of the van was identified as Gustavo Vargas-Gonzalez,33 and is being charged with accident involving death and accident involving serious bodily injury.
