A 15-year-old boy has been taken into custody for allegedly shooting his mother and 17-year-old sister multiple times, following a period of heavy marijuana use.
The incident took place around 11 p.m. on a Saturday night at an apartment complex in Houston. The suspect allegedly took the marijuana edibles with his 17 year old sister and mother when he began to have physical issues and called 911. He then told dispatchers that he wanted to harm himself or others. When authorities arrived he was located in the parking lot with a firearm reportedly aiming it at the police and confessing to committing murder before trying to flee the scene.
Officers apprehended him shortly thereafter. His mother and sister were found inside the apartment with critical injuries and were quickly transported to the hospital.
The teenager is anticipated to face charges, including aggravated assault. A third sister, aged 16, was found unharmed in the apartment.
