15 Year Old, From Roanoke, Receives Her Masters In Biology

The city of Roanoke is showing love to one of their own and showing recognition to this young woman’s accomplishments.

15 year old Alena McQuarter recently received her Masters in Biology at Arizona State University.

McQuarter also launched the Brown STEM Girl Foundation that has provided over $100,000 in scholarships.

In the fall McQuarter will pursue her PhD in integrated biomedical sciences at Loma Linda University in California.
