Two men were arrested Thursday in connection to the fatal shooting of a 14 year old Philadelphia boy.
The incident happened on November 29 while the victim, Samir Jefferson,14 was waiting for the city bus after school.
Multiple men exited a vehicle and began opening fire at Jefferson. He was struck at least 18 times throughout his body.
Emergency crews arrived and transported Jefferson to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police later arrested Kyair Garnett,21 and Qadir Johnson,20 for murder, conspiracy, reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and other offenses.
Authorities have no motive at this time. The district attorney’s office said the shooting was “senseless.” Officials have not released the names of the additional three suspects that police are still searching for.
