14 Year Old Charged With The Murder of A Parks And Recreation Employee

A 14 year old boy has been arrested and charged with the fatal shooting of a Philadelphia Parks & Recreation worker.

According to reports, 40 year old Tiffany Fletcher was greeting students at Mill Creek Recreation Center when she was caught in a shootout between two groups of teens.

The incident happened Friday, around 1:30 p.m., on the 4700 block of Brown Street when officers nearby heard multiple gunshots.

As officers responded to the shooting they saw multiple people fleeing the area. Officers chased and arrested a 14 year old, whose name has not been released, on Perry Street.

During the investigation officers located a 9mm ghost gun with a round in the chamber in a nearby trashcan.

Authorities also located Fletcher on Brown Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She apparently was shot and managed to make her way to a nearby business to get help.

Fletcher was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The teen was arrested and charged as an adult with attempted murder and related offenses.
