A 14 year old Michigan boy was arrested last month after his mother called the police on him for having a large quantity of money.
On March 29, officers responded to a robbery call at Capitol Wine and Liquor in the 6000 block of Rochester Road.
The store clerk told police that a young man wearing a hoodie came in demanding money. She told officers he never produced a weapon but kept his hand inside his hoodie pocket.
The clerk complied and handed the young man the money and he fled on foot.
Hours later officers received a call from a concerned mother that believed her son may have done something illegal.
She told officers her son had a large quantity of money and was acting funny.
When police questioned the teen he admitted to robbing the liquor store.
He was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention facility. His identity was not released due to his age.
