135 Police Officers Suspected Of Cartel Dealings Are Fired

According to reports, 135 police officers in Juventino Rosas, Guanajuato were terminated from their employment. The reason was for suspected connections to the Cartel Santa Rosa de Lima, in Mexico.

On Wednesday, the state police, army, and the National Guard under went “Operation Thunder.” This was after several suspicious activities were being witnessed.

The governor has asked the State Public Security Forces to take over the department. The agency will now control the departments’ equipment, communications, and emergency centers.

After searching the officers’ backpacks and taking their weapons, two officers were apprehended. This was after marijuana and methamphetamine were discovered in their belongings.
