A 13 year old boy was arrested last weekend after he allegedly shot and killed a man on a RTD bus in Denver.
The incident occurred on January 27, around 6:41 p.m., on a bus near the intersection of Federal Boulevard and West Mississippi Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene and found 60 year old Richard Sanchez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
During the investigation authorities learned that the 13 year old and Sanchez exchanged words with one another about Sanchez’s leg blocking the aisle. The suspect then pulled out a gun and opened fire. A second victim was injured and treated at the scene.
The suspect was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of first degree murder.
