On May 13, close to 9:40 p.m., authorities were called to the 300 block of S. Old Betsy Road, at a Sonic Drive-In, in Keene, Texas.

Now, a 20-year-old and a minor, from Fort Worth, have been apprehended after an employee was fatally shot.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located 32-year-old Matthew Davis, on the ground, suffering from several gunshot injuries. He was airlifted to Harris Methodist Hospital where he was declared deceased.

While looking into the matter, detectives found that Davis and 20-year-old Angel Gomez had a disagreement because Gomez was acting erratically in the Sonic parking lot.

When the argument turned violent, a minor passenger, the 12-year-old inside of Gomez’s car, took out an AR-style weapon and started shooting at Davis at least six times.

After the shooting, Gomez and the passenger left the location. However, Gomez returned to the scene and was arrested. A little while after, the 12-year-old boy was located in Rio Vista and was arrested, as well.

Both suspects are now facing murder charges.

  1. They need to charge him as a adult. He know how to pick up the weapon and start shooting at the worker and know how to use it. He wants to play like the big boys charge him like a big boy.

  2. The 20 year old was urinating in the parking lot and the employee simply asked him to stop.
