A 10 year old Dallas girl has collected over 100 coats for homeless children.
Camille Richards,10 was leaving a restaurant with her family when she noticed a homeless man with two children in the cold.
That’s when Richards decided she wanted to do something to help, so she started a coat drive.
She was able to collect over 100 coats and she donated them to Vogel Alcove, a North Texas nonprofit company that supports children who are homeless.
Richards says she leaves an inspiring message in each of the coat pockets to inspire kids to keep living their life.
“In each pocket of the coat, there is an inspiring message, so that they can be inspired to keep living their life and keep pushing forward. For example, here’s one I wrote: Dear Friend, where you start in life is not where you finish. You can do great things. Love, Camille.”
