10 Year Old Allegedly Sexually Assaulted Another Student On A School Bus In Early ISD

A 10 year old has been arrested for sexually assaulting another student on a school bus last month in Early,Tx.
On February 6 authorities received a report from a mother claiming that her 9 year old daughter was sexually assaulted on the school bus.
The bus driver stepped off the bus to assist another student when the alleged attack took place.
The student was taken to the Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene and examined by a sexual assault nurse.
The suspect was also taken to the hospital so DNA samples could be collected and sent to the lab.
The suspect was arrested and charged with sexual assault and his case is being processed through the juvenile system.
The bus driver is not facing any criminal charges at this time.
This case is still pending investigation.
The Early ISD released a statement saying
“This memo is to notify our parents and guardians that there was an isolated incident on an Early ISD school bus after school on February 6, 2020. As this is an issue concerning student discipline and student information, I am not allowed, by law, to give comment on the incident specifically. I can reassure your that the issue was handled by the Administration of Early ISD according to, and in compliance with, Texas law and the Student Code of Contact. Steps have been taken to assure we have no more incidents like this on our buses. Please rest assured that our students’ safety and well-being are Early ISD’s top priority.”
