A woman accidentally shoots her 10 year old nephew while babysitting him in a Houston apartment Tuesday evening.
According to reports Caitlyn Smith,19 was babysitting her nephew on the 18200 block of Chisholm Trail when she found a gun inside the apartment.
Smith started taking selfies posing with the gun when it accidentally discharged and struck the boy in his stomach.
He was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition but is expected to be okay.
Smith was arrested and charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury.
