On New Year’s Eve, a 1-year-old was shot in the head as a drive-by took place in Mesquite, Texas.
In addition to that, authorities say that a man was grazed by a bullet in the neck or lacerated with glass as the incident occurred, as well.
The shooting took place in the 1600 block of Springwood Drive.
The child’s injury was minor, and they are being treated at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, police say.
Authorities discovered footage of a car driving down the street on the night that the incident happened. It depicted somebody getting out and shooting. Investigators say that they haven’t figured out if where the victims were or another vehicle was the target.
On another street close by, authorities stated they discovered a vehicle that had bullet holes in it.
An investigation is continuing.
