One person has died and multiple people hurt following a shooting on Wednesday afternoon right after the Chiefs parade and rally was over at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri.

It has been confirmed that there at least four gunshot victims, and eight other individuals were hurt, as well.

Authorities in Kansas City say that two armed people were apprehended in order to be questioned.

“I’m angry at what happened today. The people who came to this celebration should expect a safe environment,” stated police chief Stacey Graves.

Officers had requested that individuals leave the area and not enter the parking garage so that victims could be treated.

Authorities also asked that any witnesses to the shooting proceed to the corner of Pershing and Main.

An investigation is continuing.
