A youth pastor from Granbury, Tx has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor.
Luke Cunningham, 41, was arrested on June 19 near Lubbock. He is charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated sexual assault.
Cunningham worked as the student minister at Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury. The church announced that on June 2, they learned Cunningham was accused of inappropriate conduct with a minor at another church. They immediately suspended him and started an investigation. Within a few days, they found enough evidence to fire him and reported their findings to the police.
Before working in Granbury, Cunningham was a student pastor at Turning Point Church in Lubbock from 2010 to 2016.
