A Wylie ISD teacher and another person were found fatally shot inside the teachers Josephine home Sunday night.
Josephine police responded to a shooting call around 8 p.m. on the 700 block of Mallard Drive. Upon their arrival they found 40 year old Lacie Moore and another adult deceased inside the residence.
Authorities have not released the identity of the other victim, but calls the shooting an isolated incident and says the public is not at threat.
Moore was a 5th grade English and Language Arts teacher at Davis Intermediate School.
School Principal Cody Summers said in a statement, “Mrs. Moore was a bright light and a beloved member of our Davis family,” Summers said. “We cannot express how deeply she will be missed, and we ask that you join us in keeping her family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve this heartbreaking loss.
