A 22 year old male has been arrested and charged with murder.
Around 5:40 a.m on July 31, officers responded to a stabbing call on Hunnicut and St. Francis.
Upon their arrival they found a woman lying in the street with multiple cuts to her throat and chest area. Emergency crews arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.

When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over the driver, later identified as Andre Woods Jr.,22, crashed on 1st Avenue.
He was taken to a medical facility for minor injuries. Once released, Woods was arrested and charged with murder.
The victims identity has not been released at this time.
