A 41 year old woman was arrested by Dallas police after she allegedly killed a man during an altercation at a South Dallas car wash early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a shooing call, around 2 a.m., at 4525 Elsie Faye Heggins.
Upon arrival they found the victim, Eric Barber, 45 suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital by DFR where he succumbed to his injuries.
During the investigation officers learned that the suspect, Shamkea Khalid, 41 had gotten into a fight with Barber. Some time during the altercation witness said Khalid pulled out a weapon and opened fire striking Barber. Khalid then fled the scene before officers could arrive.
Witnesses at the scene gave police a full description of Khalid and the vehicle she fled in.
A short time later, authorities located a vehicle that matched the description of her white Chrysler 200 on the 4700 block of Meadow Street. Khalid was arrested at the scene without incident.
