It was revealed in a Dallas courtroom Wednesday that investigators may have known who 13 year old Shavon Randle’s killer was within 24 hours of her kidnapping.

FBI Special Agent Jennifer Mullican went over the timeline of the June 2017 investigation with jurors. She stated that investigators already knew the circumstances surrounding this kidnapping were different early on in the investigation.

Darius Fields is currently on trial for organized criminal activity linked to the kidnapping and murder of Shavon Randle. Three others have also been arrested and charged in relation to the crime. No one has been charged for Randle’s actual murder.

Mullican said, “Our office had received information this was possibly a drug-related kidnapping. We realized it was a stranger abduction and it wasn’t going to be something that was going to be resolved relatively quick.”

Throughout the investigation they developed several tips and leads surrounding Randle’s disappearance very early on.

Mulligan also said, “Darius Fields had been identified, Michael Titus had been identified, Kendall Perkins had been identified and I believe LaQuan Wilkerson had been identified by that point.”

During the trial jurors were shown surveillance footage of a robbery that started the whole kidnapping and murder.

Apparently Kendall Perkins was dating one of Randle’s family members when he stole $250,000 worth of drugs from Darius Fields.

Jurors were shown footage from Field’s cellphones of Perkins with his girlfriend and his kids. They also had footage of him meeting up with others to plan Randle’s kidnapping.

Days after the kidnapping an associate of Field’s showed officers the abandoned home that Randle and Michael Titus bodies were.

As the trial continues jurors are expected to hear and see more footage leading up to Randle’s death.
