Oakcliff Bakery Owner Charged With Murder After Man Found Fatally Stabbed And Burned In Alleyway
A Dallas bakery owner was arrested for the murder of a man found stabbed to death and burned in an alleyway.
On Sunday, April 3 officers were called to the 1300 block of Kings Highway for a deceased body.
When they arrived they found the victim, Anthony Moreno, 52, in an alleyway wearing boots, jeans, a dress shirt, and a wedding ring on his left hand.
After thorough investigation, officers determined that Manuel Tellez, 45 was responsible for the fatal stabbing.
It is believed that Tellez stabbed Moreno multiple times in the alley before going home and changing clothes. He then returned and poured gasoline over Moreno’s body and set him on fire.
Tellez was arrested Thursday and is being held in the Dallas County jail. His bail is set at $1.5 million.
Tellez owns Maroches Bakery in Oakcliff.
