A man was taken into custody on murder charges after his father was found unresponsive inside a residence.
On Friday officers responded to a home on Peyton Dr around 1:20pm.
Upon arrival a 67 year old woman told officers that she went to move her vehicle and while outside her son, Jaison Tharian,36 locked her out the residence.
She said she beat on the door repeatedly before her son let her back inside. Once inside she noticed her husband, Mathew Olapurayil,69 laying unresponsive on the bed.
She said when she went to move the car he was getting ready but when she returned he was unresponsive.
When emergency crews arrived they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner determined that Olapurayil died from homicidal violence of blunt force trauma.
During investigation officers found scratches and bruises on Tharian as well as blood on his clothes and ring.
He was arrested and charged with murder.
