Man Accidentally Shoots Himself In The Leg Inside An Arlington Elementary School After His Gun Goes Off

A man was injured Thursday morning when his gun accidentally went off inside an elementary school.
The incident happened at Duff Elementary on the 3100 block of Lynwood Dr. while the man was there to pick up a student.
Apparently, while he was attempting to adjust his pants the firearm on his waist discharged.
The man injured his foot and leg and was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The school was placed on a brief lockdown as authorities secured the premises. Once cleared the lockdown was released and children resumed with their last day.
No one else was injured and authorities say they don’t believe the man had malicious intent.
