Dallas police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another injured Saturday night.
Officers responded to a shooting call a little before midnight on the 3700 block of Texas Road.
Upon arrival they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
According to reports a group of people were gathering outside when an altercation ensued. During the time the victim pulled out a weapon and began threatening a man.
The man then pulled out his handgun and shot the victim for fear of his life.
When officers arrived the man stayed on the scene and is said to be cooperating with officers.
Shortly after officers received a call regarding a man being brought by personal vehicle to an area hospital that was at the gathering. He too had been shot but is said to have non life threatening injuries.
The victims name has not been released at this time.
