Father Accused of Driving Teen Son To Garland Gas Station Indicted on Capital Murder Charges

A man accused of driving his son to a Garland gas station, while he fatally shot three teens, has been indicted on murder charges.

On Thursday a Dallas grand jury indicted Richard Acosta Jr.,33 for capital murder of multiple persons following a December 26 shooting.

Acosta is accused of driving his son, Abel Elias Acosta,14 to the Texaco store where Abel then got out of the vehicle, went into the store and opened fire.

He ran out the store got back in his fathers vehicle and fled the scene before officers could arrive.

When officers arrived they found the victims, Xavier Gonzalez,14, Ivan Noyala,16 and Rafael Garcia,17.

Another victim, which was also a new employee at the gas station was injured during the shooting as well.

Acosta Jr turned himself into police the next day and remains in custody on a $3 million bond.

Abel remains on the run.

Authorities have a $10,000 reward for anyone that has information leading to his arrest.
