Dallas police are investigating after a woman was fatally shot in the XTC Cabaret parking lot early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a shooting call shortly after 5 a.m. at 8550 N. Stemmons Freeway.
Upon arrival they found the victim, 32 year old Shalanda Anderson, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency crews transported the victim to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
During the investigation officers determined that a 26 year old female was responsible for the fatal shooting. A second male security guard also fired a shot at Anderson.
Although no charges have been filed at this time a grand jury referral will be submitted to the Dallas County District Attorney’s office.
This investigation remains ongoing.
