Dallas police are investigating after a woman was found shot multiple times early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the 8800 block of Fair Oaks Crossing around 4:30am after getting reports of a deceased woman.
Upon arrival they found a 61 year old woman laying face down suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was transported to a local hospital in here she succumbed to her injuries.
During investigation officers believe the woman was shot with a rifle in her upper torso.
Authorities are working to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No suspect(s) have been arrested at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
