Pretty Ricky’s Baby Blue was sentenced to 20 months in jail for his part in filing fraudulent PPP loan applications.
On December 16 Diamond Blue Smith,36 aka Baby Blue was sentenced to 20 months in prison for Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud.
In October 2020 Baby Blue was accused of filing fake loan applications to obtain funds allotted to small businesses as part of the United States Paycheck Protection Program.
It was said he obtained $24 million.
Smith admitted to using falsified documents and information to obtain a PPP loan for $426,717. He later secured another for $708,065 using the same method. He claimed the loans were for his companies, Throwbackjersey.com LLC and Blue Star Records LLC.
Since the hearing Smith has been ordered to pay $1,111,345.23 in restitution and $1,134,782 in forfeiture, plus a $100 assessment fee.
Smith must also surrender himself to the Southern District of Florida or a facility nearest Atlanta, Georgia before 2pm on February 7, 2022.
