A man has died following an attempt to break into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in Fort Worth.
The incident occurred around 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, leading Fort Worth police to respond to reports of a shooting at the Wildland Ranch Apartments on Watermark Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased man on the third floor of the building.
Investigators found that the victim had illegally entered his ex-girlfriend’s apartment. Once inside, he encountered a female resident and a male resident. The male resident then drew a handgun and fatally shot the intruder.
The individual who fired the weapon is currently cooperating with authorities, and no arrests have been made as of now.
