Texas Youth Basketball Coach Faces Arrest Over Child Sexual Assault Allegations in Southlake

A Texas basketball coach from Southlake is currently being investigated for allegations of inappropriate behavior with a minor.

According to the Southlake Police Department, detectives secured warrants for Mitchell Joseph Allan, charging him with two counts of indecency with a child involving sexual contact on January 29.

Allan was arrested by the Elm Ridge Police Department on February 1 and taken to the Denton County Jail.The warrants were issued based on reports of abuse that reportedly occurred while Allan was coaching a private basketball program.

Due to the delicate nature of the case, police have indicated that they will not disclose further details at this time. They are urging parents who suspect their children may have interacted with Allan to come forward if they have concerns about potential abuse.
