A 21-year-old FedEx employee, Marquise Browner, was found deceased in Lake Arlington over two weeks after being reported missing.

Browner was last seen on December 18 when his mother, Elanor Holiday, dropped him off at the FedEx facility in Fort Worth. The following day, Holiday was informed by her son’s supervisor that he had not clocked in for his shift. When she checked his room, she discovered his FedEx work ID still there, raising immediate concerns.

The Fort Worth Police confirmed they had searched local hospitals, morgues, and jails, but could find no trace of Browner. Meanwhile, Holiday’s own inquiries revealed that her son’s bank card had been used on December 19 at a Fort Worth Whataburger and at a nearby gas station.

On January 3, officers from the Arlington Police Department were called to an area along Lake Arlington, specifically in the 4100 block of Surfside Court, after a resident reported seeing a body washed ashore.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner later identified the body as Browner. Authorities noted there were no signs of trauma, but they believe he had been in the water for an extended period.
