A child is in critical condition following a shooting that took place during what is believed to be a road rage incident on Friday evening.
According to reports, Dallas police were called to the 3500 block of Wilhurt Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. after a shooting involving a child was reported. Upon arrival, officers found a child suffering from a gunshot wound.
Dallas Fire Rescue promptly reached the scene and transported the child to a nearby hospital.
Authorities believe the child was hit during a gunfire exchange between two vehicles involved in the incident.
