Boy Arrested for Allegedly Killing Father During Dispute in Lancaster, TX

Lancaster police are looking into a shooting that resulted in a father’s death and left his son in custody.

On November 12, officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 1000 block of Nancy Lane. When they arrived, they found 43-year-old Alvoyd Ford unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced Ford dead.

During the investigation, officers discovered that a confrontation had occurred between the boy and his father, during which the boy fired several shots, hitting his father.

Authorities have charged the boy with murder, and he was taken to the Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center.
