Canadian authorities are looking into the death of a 19-year-old Walmart employee whose body was discovered inside a store oven on Saturday.
Reports indicate that Halifax Regional Police received a call about the incident at the Walmart located at 6990 Mumford Road at 9:30 p.m., where they found the young woman deceased.
In a news release on Tuesday, police confirmed that she was an employee of the store and was located in a walk-in oven in the bakery department.
The cause of death has not yet been determined, and her name has not been released to the public. A Sikh leader in Halifax has identified her as a member of the Sikh community.
Halifax police stated that this is a complex investigation involving multiple agencies, and it remains ongoing.
