Bath & Body Works has issued an apology for a candle featured on its social media platforms that showcased a snowflake design resembling a Ku Klux Klan hood.

Criticism emerged on X regarding the candle’s appearance, with users coining the term “klandle.” The well-known brand, recognized for its scented candles and personal care products, has since removed the candle from its website and offered an apology.

In a statement to TMZ, Bath & Body Works emphasized, “We are committed to listening to our teams and customers and committed to fixing any mistakes we make—even those that are unintentional like this one,” it said. “We apologize to anyone we’ve offended and are swiftly working to have this item removed and [are] evaluating our process [going] forward.”

The candles have now been taken down from the online store.
