Body of 6-Year-Old Boy Found After Being Swept Away in Dallas Creek While Fishing with Father

The body of a 6 year old boy was discovered after he was swept underwater in a creek in Dallas on Saturday.The child went beneath the surface while fishing in a creek close to Mountain Creek Parkway around 1:30 p.m.

His father attempted to rescue him by jumping in but was also pulled under.

The body of 26-year-old Fernando Carlos was found several hours later.

Officials reported that the recovery took place in Grand Prairie on Sunday afternoon.

“We offer our deepest condolences to the victims’ families during this sad time,” wrote the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in a statement.
