Update:On August 12, 2024, at about 12:45 PM, Dallas police responded to a disturbance active shooter call at Jim Miller Road and Bruton Road. The preliminary investigation determined officers were in a marked patrol car with lights and sirens activated, traveling northbound on Jim Miller Road when they were involved in a crash at Jim Miller Road and C F Hawn Service Road with a civilian in a vehicle traveling eastbound on the C F Hawn Serv Road.
Dallas Fire Rescue responded and treated both officers for minor injuries. The civilian was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This ongoing investigation will be documented under case number 123331-2024. Streets blocked off near Comstock Middle School in Pleasant Grove
