An Alabama man has been arrested on five counts of capital murder for the shooting deaths of his wife and four children.

Law enforcement in Bibb County responded to a residence following reports of a child being shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple children inside the home with gunshot wounds.

The victims, 24-year-old Kelse Kendrick, the couple’s two children, Kaleb, 6, and Kynil, 2, as well as their niece and nephew, Colton, 8, and Haley Daniels, 6, were all found shot in the head and deceased.

Reports indicate that Brandon Allan Kendrick II, 32, shot them with a handgun after they returned from a birthday party for Colton.

Kendrick was arrested at the home and charged with five counts of capital murder. He has not provided law enforcement with a motive for the killings.
