On Tuesday, Brandon Casey, of the singing group Jagged Edge, posted on Instagram that he had been in a car wreck last week. Afterwards, he was placed in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

In the post, he also showed gratitude to the medical facility for aiding in his survival.

The caption noted: “I have to send a big thank you to @grady.hospital after being in ICU for 5 days. I know the legendary Grady Trauma Center is everything it’s said to be. The best in the country. Y’all saved my life, and I’m forever grateful. I’m so thankful to all you ladies who took care of me, nursing me, fed me, encouraged me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The most sincere thank you I can conjure up,” he said.

“I know people want to know so here it is. Broken neck, 5 broken ribs, skull fracture, scalp lacerations, and a bunch of pain all over my body. But, I’m going to be good. I promise y’all. God got me! It’s like something trying to take me off this planet. And God keep telling them nope not him. Not yet. All praises to the most high, most awesome, most wonderful God. Thank you Lord!!!! From your loyal soldier.”

Brandon and his twin brother, Brian, are the lead singers for Jagged Edge. The other members include Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman. In 1995, the group signed with Jermaine Dupree’s So So Def. They were at the top of many R&B charts in the beginning of the 2000s. Jagged Edge’s notable songs include, “Promise,” “Where The Party At,” and “Let’s Get Married.”

Last month, the group released a new collaboration with Jack Freeman named “Undress (Remix).”
