Flower Mound police arrested a popular TikTok creator for allegedly shooting his girlfriend in the head after an argument.
Together, Ladarius Brownlee, 28, and Seyedeh “Zahra” Hashemi, 28, accumulated 160,000 followers on their relationship TikTok account.
On July 5 at 12:49 a.m., Flower Mound Police officers responded to a call reporting a shooting in the 1800 block of Flower Mound Road. Upon arriving, officers found Hashemi lying on the ground near a car. First responders rushed Hashemi to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Dallas Morning News reported witnesses told police Brownlee and his girlfriend got into a ”heated argument” while walking home from an Independence Day celebration. Brownlee and Hashemi got into a physical altercation in front of the witnesses, then Brownlee and his girlfriend got into a car and drove away.
While Brownlee was driving, he continued to argue with Hashemi. Witnesses also told police when the car got to the 1800 block of Flower Mound Road, Brownlee stopped, pulled out a handgun and pointed it a passenger in the backseat before shooting Hashemi in the face above her right eye.
Witnesses also reported that Brownlee and Hashemi’s relationship has a history of physical and verbal abuse.
Officers arrested Brownlee at the scene. Flower Mound Police Department charged Brownlee with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and three counts of deadly conduct.
Brownlee is being held on am $800,000 bond.
