Woman Arrested For Aggravated Robbery In Dallas, Now Charged With Capital Murder After Victim Dies
A woman is now being charged with murder after the victim she robbed and shot died days later.
On July 8, around 5:45 a.m., Dallas police responded to an aggravated robbery call on the 300 block of S. Marsalis Avenue. Upon arriving they found the victim, 52 year old Inayath Syed, suffering from a gunshot inside the store.
They then learned that a woman, later identified as 29 year old Aleigha Horn, had walked into the store, shot Syed and grabbed spoke items before walking out the store.
Horn was later found hiding in a wooded area on the 1400 block of Seevers Avenue. She was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery of a business.
On July 15, 2024 Dallas police were notified that Syed had passed away from his injuries.
A warrant for capital murder will be issued for Horn who is currently booked in the Dallas County Jail.
