Overnight Crash Leaves 1 Dead In Dallas

An overnight crash in Dallas left one person dead and landed another in custody.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. near Arapaho Rd and Preston Rd. When officers arrived on the scene they found a wrecked vehicle leaning against a light pole with a person pinned underneath.

Firefighters extricated the victim but they were pronounced dead at the scene.

It is believed that the driver of the vehicle lost control before crashing and then tried to flee the scene.

Authorities located the driver and he was taken into custody for questioning. No charges have been filed at this time.
