A man in St. Louis, Missouri, has been hospitalized in critical condition after he was shot in the head by a masked gunman as his wedding reception took place on Friday night.
Authorities say that two masked gunmen had approached the backyard of the bride, Dulce Gonzalez, early Saturday as people were celebrating the couple’s wedding.
The assailants told everyone not to move, and one of them stood behind the groom, Manuel Gonzalez, 32. Then, the other gunman went through all of the guests’ pockets.
Prior to leaving the location, one of the gunman shot the groom in the head.
“He’s fighting for his life. We are hoping he pulls through,” said the bride’s sister.
The couple has two children together.
No apprehensions have been made in the case, and an investigation is continuing.
