Shooting at Saginaw Independence Day Celebration Leaves One Injured

On June 29, around 9:24 p.m., Saginaw police responded to a shooting call near Saginaw high school at an Independence Day Celebration.

Upon arriving they learned that there was an altercation amongst a group of people that turned physical. Someone then pulled out a gun and opened fire striking one person. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene before officers could arrive and still remains at large.

This is an ongoing investigation.
